  • Not a true palm, Cardboard Palm is a tropical shrub related to the ZZ plant, belonging to a family that have been around since the Mesozoic Era when dinosaurs roamed the earth. The leaves are pinnate like palm fronds but with rounded stems, and the tuberous trunk stores water to survive periods of drought.

    Potted in a 10" pot.

    Direct bright to medium light
    Water when top 2-3" of soil is dry. (Once every other week or so depending on conditions.) Turn plant a quarter turn every time you water to promote even growth.
    Tropical soil with added perlite
    Toxic to cats and dogs
