This agave owes its common name, Artichoke Agave, to its pointed leaves and rosette shape. Blue tinged leaves end in brown thorns at the tips and outer margins, and the underside of each leaf is imprinted with the shape of the leaf buds that grew in the next outer layer. While it gets rather large when planted outdoors in warmer climates (3-4' wide), a mature potted plant will top out at approximately 14-18" in diameter.
Potted in an 8" container.
