Bursera-fagaroides is a succulent shrub that forms a caudex (meaning the trunk swells to hold water during dry spells). Related to frankincense, this plant can produce a resinous smell when it’s jostled or its leaves are crushed. Grow outside May-October to encourage growth. This plant will lose its leaves in winter (or in response to sustained cold drafts) and will produce new growth quickly when back in hot, sunny weather. Potted in a 6” pot.
Bright/direct light. Summer grower! Water once per week in summer; slow to once every 3 weeks in winter. Cacti soil with added perlite.
