  • This purple Muscadine grape variety features medium green leaves and deep purple grapes when fruiting. Muscadine grapes are native to the southern United States and are among the common table and dessert grapes that are grown commercially. As a houseplant, you can enjoy the beautiful foliage on this climbing plant, or with a little work you can get it to fruit indoors as well.

For indoor fruiting, you'll need at least 7 hours of direct sunlight (a south-facing window is ideal), water daily, and fertilize regularly. The more sun your plant receives, the more grapes it can grow. You can supplement sunlight with an LED grow light on a 12-hour timer. Prune at the end of the growing season to force new growth.

Potted in a 10" container with a sturdy trellis.

    Bright light
Water when top 1" of soil is dry; about 3-4 times per week during growing season, less in winter. Water daily during growing season if growing for fruit.
    Tropical soil mix
Plant leaves and stems may be toxic to pets; the fruits are highly toxic to cats and dogs
