  • A mounding Bromeliad with tiny rosettes of triangular leaves, Deuterochinia brevifolia grows as a groundcover in rocky, oceanside locations in South America. In its natural environment, it gets most of its moisture from the humid air rather than through roots in the soil. Eventually, the rosettes will spread and cover the top of the pot, possibly spilling down the sides as well.

    Potted in a 6" container.
