Lithops

  • Details
  • The living stone plant! Low maintenance and slow growing, Lithops have adapted to grow in harsh desert conditions and look like pebbles on the ground. Fun fact: unlike many plants, Lithops are dormant during spring and summer when the light is too harsh and begin to put out a pair of new leaves in the fall.

Bright light to direct sun, like a south facing window
Only water when totally dry and the plants begin to shrivel. (About a tablespoon of water once a quarter, or less.) When Lithops are growing new leaves, it's best to leave them and not water until the old pair of leaves is completely dried up and withered.
    Cactus soil with added perlite
Not toxic to cats and dogs
