  • A succulent shrub native to Cuba, Jatropha integerrima has dark green deeply lobed leaves with very prominent veins. The flowers are dark pink and appear in clusters, earning this plant its common name, Firecracker tree. The stems reach about 3' tall at maturity when grown indoors. Prune lightly at any time to maintain a compact appearance. The sap of this plant is irritating to the skin (it is related to Euphorbia), so make sure to wash your hands after pruning or accidental exposure.
