Golden Barrel Cactus (Echinocactus grusonii), 6"

An attractive barrel cactus with a bright green, ribbed, spherical stem covered in thick yellow spines with a white ring at the top of the plant. Produces bright yellow flowers in spring when given enough sun. Mature plants will grow more elongated, and produce clusters of offsets around the base of the stem. In the desert, they are used as a natural compass because they always lean south.

Potted in a 6" container.
